The Weathered Souls
based out of the small town of greenville, Texas, the weathered soul(s) was formed by Holdyn Mason. throughout the beginning Holdyn’s honed in on most of the song writing, production, and recordings. the project stared with lead vocalist, Brock Roggow who after a few years decided to step away from the project. up until that point Holdyn was meshing his love for rock and roll with Brocks love for country and creating a middle ground. we called it southern rock. upon Brocks departure Holdyn carried on and continued to write, record and explorer new ground as well as combine his personal love for alternative rock, and indie. the new sound of the weathered souls has been inspired by bands such as, “my morning jacket'“, “the black keys”, “rival sons”, and many more. Even though the Soul(s) are new on the scene, they have secured high profile shows opening for Whiskey Myers, Southall, and rival sons. Holdyn will continue pushing the boundary of his sound and demonstrate his focus on musical diversity that brings a distinct, rousing twist of pure rock and roll and alternative. the weathered souls.
